OUR HISTORY
The Valley Stream Baptist Church was started when an arm of the American Baptist, established and dedicated Alden Terrace Baptist Church in June of 1950. After serving the community, the society realized that a Baptist Church was needed in the area. At the time when the original building was dedicated the church membership was only twenty-eight members.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
1. We believe that God is a Trinity revealed to Man as God the Father, God the Son and
God the Holy Spirit, being separate and yet indivisible.
2. We believe the scriptures to be God's own words expressing His complete revelation to
Man with regards to His plans and purposes. They are complete, without error or
contradiction and are the absolute truth.
3. Scripture is its own commentary and its own interpreter.

DR. SHERBY E. CLARKE
Dr Sherby Clarke joined the Valley Stream Baptist Church family in November 2006 and
presently serves as the Senior Pastor. Before joining VSBC, Dr. Clarke served as a Pastor in New Jersey.

ANTHONY C. MILLS
Pastor Anthony Mills was ordained on Sunday, June 29, 2009 at the Valley Stream Baptist Church by the
Senior Pastor, Dr. Sherby Clarke where he presently serves as an Associate Pastor.

O'NEIL H. HUTCHINSON
Pastor O'Neil Hutchinson was ordained on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Valley Stream Baptist Church by the Senior Pastor, Dr. Sherby E. Clarke and currently serves as an Associate Pastor.
